Family of Four!

Sorry it's been a month since I've posted (WHAT!) but that's because I went ahead and had a baby!

Tula Marie Amidon! Born May 13th, 4:24am. 8lbs 3 oz, 21.5 inches long, and cute as the dickens!

I really want to tell you all about the labor and delivery (because that's what everyone wants to hear about, right?  how many stitches I had (4) and whether or not when my water broke it splashed on Josh's shoes or just cleared 'em (we're still not sure what that mess on them is - he will continue to wear them out of love), and did I punch my doctor in the face for making jokes WHILE I WAS PUSHING A BABY OUT OF MY VADGE or did I wait til it was over and then laugh? both. except the punch was in my head.) all of that and more later! Because right now both my babies are asleep and mama is gonna lay down and stare at my half painted toenails, wishing I was rich enough to have a personal toenail painter living in my house.

Instead here's a barrage of pictures from her first week!

Just born and concerned about the state of her affairs.  Where's mom's boob?  Why is it so bright out here?  How come people keep poking me?  Where's the boob again?

Rasta baby.

Just home from the hospital.  My two girls.
Yeah, I cry every time I think about the two of them.

Tutu came to visit/let Adeline play with her iPad.

Chubbers.

Adeline came to the hospital a few hours after Tula was born, and before she got to the room I could hear her down the hall yelling, "Tiny baby!  Hold it?"  I mean, she was already in love with her and wanted to hold her as much as she could.  If that isn't the best thing about being a big sister - loving your little sister before you even know what that means - I don't know what is.  It's totally how I feel about my sister and I am SO incredibly excited they get to experience the magic of having each other.  It's the best.

Plus, hearing your one year old yell, no - demand - that there's a tiny baby and she will hold it - that's f-ing darling as all get out.

First time in her bouncy chair.

First time in her Moby.

First time with the two babies. I'm still crying.  I mean, c'mon.  Look at Addie's face.  Heartbreaking.

Swaddled.

Squishy.

Still concerned about her affairs. Her personal assistant took a break and she's not sure who is answering her calls.

Tiny baby. Hold it.

Best. Feeling. Ever.
