Coming Back!

I promise I'm going to be regularly blogging soon!

Starting Monday!

I've been too busy with the two ladies to do anything other than be their mom.  That includes showering.  I just followed the dog around the house on my hands and knees like a lunatic, because I thought it would make him slow down/be more comfortable with the fact I needed to sniff him, and I tried to explain this to him while I was crawling around after him because hello, this is how your dog friends do it Boris! I just need a quick sniff because you don't smell good at all and I need to figure out if it's bath-worthy or just baby wipe worthy, and when I paused to grab two towels to put under my knees because the hardwood floors are not easy on the ol' knockers, I realized the smell was not coming from the puppy dog, it was coming from yours truly and it was not pretty, and I thought I'd showered yesterday but I guess I didn't and the baby puke on my leg, in my hair and sexily down my shirt was not helping matters.

So I'm going to get in the shower before anyone else can throw up my own breast milk on me.

For now here are some videos and pictures.

Addie likes to help out. Forcefully.

She counts everything! It doesn't matter if there's only two of them, she'll count to five! And it's DARLING AS HECK!

Sisters!
This picture makes me so happy I might pee my pants.

Six weeks old and so smiley and cute!

Family of Four!

Sorry it's been a month since I've posted (WHAT!) but that's because I went ahead and had a baby!

Tula Marie Amidon! Born May 13th, 4:24am. 8lbs 3 oz, 21.5 inches long, and cute as the dickens!

I really want to tell you all about the labor and delivery (because that's what everyone wants to hear about, right?  how many stitches I had (4) and whether or not when my water broke it splashed on Josh's shoes or just cleared 'em (we're still not sure what that mess on them is - he will continue to wear them out of love), and did I punch my doctor in the face for making jokes WHILE I WAS PUSHING A BABY OUT OF MY VADGE or did I wait til it was over and then laugh? both. except the punch was in my head.) all of that and more later! Because right now both my babies are asleep and mama is gonna lay down and stare at my half painted toenails, wishing I was rich enough to have a personal toenail painter living in my house.

Instead here's a barrage of pictures from her first week!

Just born and concerned about the state of her affairs.  Where's mom's boob?  Why is it so bright out here?  How come people keep poking me?  Where's the boob again?

Rasta baby.

Just home from the hospital.  My two girls.
Yeah, I cry every time I think about the two of them.

Tutu came to visit/let Adeline play with her iPad.

Chubbers.

Adeline came to the hospital a few hours after Tula was born, and before she got to the room I could hear her down the hall yelling, "Tiny baby!  Hold it?"  I mean, she was already in love with her and wanted to hold her as much as she could.  If that isn't the best thing about being a big sister - loving your little sister before you even know what that means - I don't know what is.  It's totally how I feel about my sister and I am SO incredibly excited they get to experience the magic of having each other.  It's the best.

Plus, hearing your one year old yell, no - demand - that there's a tiny baby and she will hold it - that's f-ing darling as all get out.

First time in her bouncy chair.

First time in her Moby.

First time with the two babies. I'm still crying.  I mean, c'mon.  Look at Addie's face.  Heartbreaking.

Swaddled.

Squishy.

Still concerned about her affairs. Her personal assistant took a break and she's not sure who is answering her calls.

Tiny baby. Hold it.

Best. Feeling. Ever.
